Welcome Flagler County Friends & Neighbors!!
Before you make any decisions regarding roof replacement there's a few things that you should know. This information will give you the knowledge you need to protect yourself and one of the largest home investments you will make!!
Step 1:
Take a few minutes to review the information provided below and educate yourself on the basics of the process so that you can avoid costly oversights and headaches throughout the process.
Below you will find links to the 5 main things that you need to consider & understand
before deciding on your new roof, who to work with, & what to expect through
the entire process.
Step 2:
Do your research on the contractors you are interested in working with. Once you have narrowed the field, set appointments with the contractor/s
you have selected.
At the appointment rate your overall experience to see if it's a good fit.
Things to keep in mind are:
Are they local?
**This can make a big difference during and more importantly After your roof install.
A local company who takes pride in their reputation and is part of the community tends to be much more responsive should you need them after the fact for any reason.
Our goal is to build long term relationships and be here for you; our neighbors.
Did they do a thorough inspection and inform you of the findings?
If there is damage you should be shown pictures. A licensed contractor should Never Tell You to file an insurance claim (this is a red flag and can be considered fraud).
We do work with insurance claims but will not use that fact to "Sell you" your roof.
Are they able to answer any questions to your satisfaction?
During your meeting ask questions. A good company will take the time to answer all your questions thoroughly. As fellow Flagler County residents we take the time to educate our customers and assist them during the roofing process.
Are you able to clearly communicate and not feel pressured?
You should understand what is being said, feel like your questions & concerns are being addressed, and never feel pressured; this is a big decision.
All of these things make a big difference during and after your installation!
Step 3:
Review the estimates. Keep in mind that things cost what they cost i.e. materials, labor, etc. If there's a big difference between one or more estimates your should find out why. Compare quality of materials, experience and reputation of the contractor and their team, and overall time frame of the process.
Now you're ready to go!!
